By adhering to Exclusive Collection’s preference for using British and local suppliers within 50 miles of our properties in the UK, we aim to minimise our air freight deliveries. Additionally, we will reward suppliers that deliver using the lowest impact methods, such as electric vehicles or by grouping deliveries from different suppliers together in one van. A good example of this method is from one of our suppliers in the Surrey Hills, which is approximately 10 miles from Pennyhill Park. Dairy products, eggs and meats from multiple suppliers are delivered in the same van, thus cutting down on carbon emissions and food miles Suppliers involved include Hill House Farm, who supply sausages and bacon for our guests.
- Strive to continually improve our environmental performance and minimise the social impact and damage of activities by reviewing our environmental policy in light of our current and planned future activities.
- Ensure that we have environmental champions in each and every property and at each and every level in the organisation and that we have a sustainable programme and emphasis on our environmental policies.
